Project Nirvah

Enactus SXC's Project Nirvah tackles air pollution in West Bengal resulting from rice husk and crop stubble burning. The project transforms these agricultural by-products into stylish, eco-friendly kitchenware, including coffee mugs and containers. Crafted from biodegradable materials like sabai grass, these products are durable, dishwasher safe and promote sustainable living. This initiative not only mitigates environmental damage but also preserves cultural heritage by empowering local artisans with traditional crafting techniques.

Project Pattrang

Project Pattrang, launched in February 2020, aims to revitalise the ancient art of Pattachitra by supporting skilled patuas (narrative scroll painters). Enactus SXC recognized the artists' potential to appeal to contemporary urban markets with the right guidance and market access. Through exhibitions and social media, the project has advanced skill development and market visibility. As Project Pattrang marks its second anniversary, it celebrates the support received and remains optimistic about sustainably reviving this 2,000-year-old art form for its beneficiaries.
