As the foundation for both past and future projects, the R&D Wing is central to Enactus’s commitment to innovation and impactful change.

Project Narikel addresses the issue of excessive coconut waste in India, which constitutes 50% of coconut production and is often disposed of through burning or landfilling, contributing to pollution. This project repurposes discarded coconut shells into attractive products such as bowls, candle holders and plant holders, targeting a diverse consumer base. It aims to tackle SDGs 11, 12, and 13 while providing additional income opportunities for coconut vendors.

Project Pushp aims to convert flower waste from temples and other venues into aesthetic and functional products like incense sticks, potpourri, and candles.
